MPIE working with you

Our committees are a vital part of gaining input from our insured which drives patient safety and risk reduction. Below is a list of our committees and some background on how they help us help our insureds and how we drive input from our insureds which in turn drives patient safety and risk reduction for all our insureds

Risk Assessment

The Risk Assessment Committee is established by the MPIE Board of Directors (Board) to assist management in evaluating claims trends, to recommend risk management and patient safety initiatives and to evaluate the effectiveness of such. The Risk Assessment Committee also serves in an advisory role regarding risk reduction methods and claims prevention/resolution methods.

ED Advisory

The ED Advisory Committee is established by the MPIE Board Risk Assessment Committee to assist management in evaluating ED claims and trends to drive risk management and patient safety initiatives to decrease the frequency and severity of claims and to increase patient safety. The ED Advisory Committee serves in an advisory role regarding risk reduction methods and claims prevention/resolution methods.

OB Advisory

The OB Advisory Committee is established by the MPIE Board Risk Assessment Committee to assist management in evaluating obstetric claims and trends to drive risk management and patient safety initiatives to decrease the frequency and severity of claims and to increase patient safety. The OB Advisory Committee serves in an advisory role regarding risk reduction methods and claims prevention/resolution methods.
